Joining the Friends of the Archipelago Foundation means that you can support our animal and nature conservation work. One of the Archipelago Foundation’s many tasks is to keep the Stockholm Archipelago open to all. And the more visitors we get, the more important it is to continue with our work of creating a vibrant archipelago.
The Archipelago Foundation has a presence in the archipelago in many different ways; through farming, forestry, buildings, maintenance and nature conservation, youth hostels, restaurants, guest jetties and natural anchorages. There are toilet/washing facilities located at around 190 sites in our areas.
Those of you who want to use the archipelago and contribute to keeping the area open for boating and recreational activities can support us by becoming a Friend of the Archipelago Foundation. It costs SEK 300 a year, for which you get:
- A wonderful “Friends’ book” filled with photographs and text on an interesting archipelago theme.
- Our archipelago magazine, Stångmärket, which is published six times a year.
- The opportunity to join one of our guided friends tours – often to the outer archipelago.
Family membership
As of 2007, the whole family can be a Friend of the Archipelago Foundation. If you would like to join as a family we would like to register all the members of the family, so please fill in their names in the field below. Family membership costs SEK 375.
