Welcome to Käringboda

Käringboda, southwest of Nynäshamn, is accessible by car or bus.

The reserve has many beautiful way-marked paths through the varied landscape. Parts of the reserve are accessible to disabled persons.

Ranger's tips

This is the place to come for a ramble. There are 7-8 trails here with well-kept, cleared and marked paths. They take you through forest and pastureland, and there are some fantastic viewpoints in places. The most popular spot is Vinsberget, which was once an important link in the beacon system along the coast. From there you can look down over the whole of Södertörn, out over the water as far as Landsort. There are plenty of berries and mushrooms here during late summer and autumn – but I won’t reveal my favourite spots!

I would also recommend the fantastic outdoor centre here, which you can rent and which sleeps 30 people. Read more under “Accommodation”.
